SILOXA’s
product range also includes the gas cooling unit (GK), a functional
unit that exclusively handles cooling of the biogas inflow. In the GK
unit, all components needed for cooling, such as the gas cooler,
condensate trap, liquid coolant circuit and, depending on the size, a
water cooler, are fixed on a frame. The integrated control unit
regulates all connected assemblies and monitoring devices. All
components that come into contact with the gas are electrostatically
conductive. In this way the gas cooling system conforms to the ATEX
requirements for handling biogas and with TRBS 2153 (Technical Rules for
Operational Safety – Prevention of ignition hazards due to
electrostatic charges). The easy-to-use gas cooling unit is available in
12 different sizes/performance classes for gas flow rates of 180 to
2100 Nm3/h. Further, customised variants are also possible on request.
Like all SILOXA products, the gas cooling unit is designed to promote
optimum efficiency of the CHP plant, which means reduced operating costs
for the user.
