Tarik Höppener is the managing director of re-energise Africa (Pty) Ltd. since 2014. His responsibilities cover the functions of business administration, marketing, project and operation management as well as procurement. He obtained his extensive experience in international energy business starting with E.ON Kraftwerke GmbH in Germany (2001 -2009) and temporarily with E.ON Benelux N.V. (2006) in the Netherlands. Within the energy utility he performed various duties with an initial focus on commercial power plant operation management elevating towards corporate development and large-scale power-plant project development. His growing passion for renewable energies led him to MT-Biomethan GmbH in Germany (2010 – 2013), where he served as a project manager for the implementation of large biogas plants and as the internal developer and auditor of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Tarik holds the degree ‘Industrie-Kaufmann’ (equivalent ...) obtained with the Bremen Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2004), the honours in business management obtained at the University of the Free State (2009), and the degree ‘Dipl.-Kaufmann’ (equivalent to a master in business management) obtained at the University of Bremen (2010)
